I had a moment of idiocy yesterday. My application for UT Austin was last week, not this week. I kicked myself for a little bit but got over it. It wasn't my #1 pick. Actually I don't know if I do have a #1 school. I'll be happy to be accepted to any program.
So I decided to just go forward with my applications to George Washington University and University of New Mexico. I'd say UNM and Texas Tech are two schools that are best suited to me (like Tech, their applications are due in mid-January). GW is probably a long shot and yikes, I hope I get funding because I don't think I can afford it otherwise. IF they accepted me, that would be cool. I'd just buzz up to DC either by car and Metro. Sadly, the closest station is an hour away but I'd still use the Metro to get into DC. We hates driving and trying to park up there.
We'll see how it all shakes out sometime early next year. I think most notifications go out between Feb-April. I think the wait is the hardest part out of this whole process.
